Join the SilverSneakers Fitness Program, a strengthening and conditioning
exercise class for Secure Horizon members.
- Designed
specifically for the health and fitness needs of Medicare beneficiaries.
- "Muscular
Strength & Range of Movement Conditioning" - Move through
a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength,
range of movement, and skills required during activities for daily
living (ADLs). Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles,
and a ball are offered for resistance; and a chair is used for
seated and/or standing support.
- "Crank
Up the Cardio" - Enjoy a heart healthy, non-impact aerobic
workout with a chair used for seated and/or standing support.
Basic rhythmic movements for the upper and lower body are designed
to give you a safe and fun workout. Resistance tools are offered
for muscular strength work.
- "Step
with Style" - Challenge yourself with a variety of moderate
to intense conditioning exercises to increase strength, coordination,
agility, and balance. Hand-held weights and the Step are used
in an interval format with a
chair for seated and/or standing support.
- "SilverStretch"
- Stretch your whole body through a complete range of movement.
Enjoy a light to moderately intense workout with rhythmic and
static choreography presented with a chair to safely move through
a variety of upper and lower body stretches and core stabilization
exercises.
- "SilverCircuit"
- Blend the basics and increase your power with a circuit workout.
The format includes use of a chair for seated or standing support
and moderate to intense upper body strength work alternating with
cardiovascular endurance exercises.
