Nationwide members are welcome at the YMCA of Glendale. Please bring your Y membership card or a photo ID.
Visiting other Y's: Things to know before you go
Nationwide Membership enables you to visit any participating Y in the US through membership at your ‘home’ Y (your home location is the facility that you enrolled as a member and that collects your membership dues).

- Valid for active, full facility Y members ages 18+, with ID
- Program – only participants and special memberships (SilverSneakers, Silver & Fit, Renew Active, etc.) are NOT eligible for Nationwide Membership
- All Nationwide visitors must sign the Nationwide Member Waiver
- Nationwide member visitors must use their home Y at least 50% of the time
- If you have known periods of seasonal travel and cannot use your home Y at least 50% of the time (college students, snow birds, etc.) you may need to place your home Y membership on hold and join the Y where you’ll be staying.

Silver Sneakers®
The YMCA of Glendale is pleased to offer the SilverSneakers® Fitness Program. SilverSneakers is the nation’s leading exercise program designed exclusively for older adults and is available at no additional cost to eligible Medicare health plan. Eligible members have a complimentary membership to the Glendale YMCA. To find out if you are eligible for SilverSneakers, please contact the Y or visit www.silversneakers.com.

Renew Active / One Pass / Aaptiv
Renew Active is the new name for Optum Fitness Advantage. Renew Active provides eligible members with access to any YMCA at no cost. Plan holders of eligible Medicare Advantage Plans insured by United Healthcare Insurance can use the Renew Active program. Plan holders of eligible Medicare Supplement Plans insured by United Healthcare Insurance can use the Renew Active program at a lower cost. Eligible members can use all the services that are part of a standard Y membership.

We are now accepting credits as a member of the FitOn (formerly known as Peerfit) network! Request a Tour
If you are interested in taking a tour of the YMCA of Glendale and learning more about membership, please fill out the form below and someone from our Membership Department will be in touch with you!
Scholarship Program
At the YMCA of Glendale, we have a Scholarship Program to provide temporary assistance to families in the Glendale area who wish to take part in YMCA programs and believe they are not able to pay the full cost of the program. Assistance is only granted to the extent that money is available and this program is made possible by the contributions made to the YMCA. Applicants are awarded a percentage of support, with the YMCA and participant sharing the total cost of the program.
Minimum Requirements
1. Applicants must live or work in the service area of the YMCA of Glendale.
2. Applicants share the cost of the program with the YMCA and each applicant is required to pay a percentage of the program cost with the YMCA. The maximum percentage support varies by program.
3. Applicants must re-apply every year upon renewal of their membership. IF assistance is granted and the program is not utilized, we will award the assistance to someone else.
4. If payment is not kept current, you stand the risk of losing your financial assistance.
